How do I get a receipt or a tax invoice?

·2 min read

On this page

Receipts are in Settings → Subscription — click a successful payment in the payment history and the receipt opens. Korean tax invoices (세금계산서) cannot yet be issued from the screen, so email hello@gestel.studio with your business registration and the payment date and we will issue one. If you pay through Toss in Korea we issue it ourselves; if you pay internationally through Polar, Polar sends the invoice.

Receipts

Settings → Subscription → payment history. Click a successful payment to open its receipt. Failed payments have none.

Korean tax invoices

For customers paying in Korea we issue the tax invoice. On the Toss rail GESTEL is the merchant, so Korean VAT and cash receipts are ours to handle.

For now, request one by email and we will issue it:

  • To: hello@gestel.studio
  • A copy of your business registration
  • The date and amount of the payment
  • A contact email

There is no self-serve issuing screen yet. Better to say so than to imply there is.

International payments (Polar)

Outside Korea, Polar is the merchant of record. It emails the invoice to the address you paid with and handles VAT for your country. To retrieve an invoice, use the link in the email Polar sent you.

If you had a subscription on the old GESTEL

If your subscription is still billed by LemonSqueezy, the invoices are in the emails LemonSqueezy sends. See How do I cancel my old GESTEL subscription?.

Business details

The details you would put on an invoice or a contract are at the bottom of the settings screen and on the terms page. The business registration number is 112-41-09291.
