What gets deleted when I close my account?

Closing your account cannot be undone. The account goes, and with it every shot you made, every saved product, your brand kits, your projects and your conversations. Remaining credits disappear and are not refunded. The one thing that stays is the payment record — Korean e-commerce law requires five years of payment and contract records — but your name and email are severed from it, so it no longer says whose payment it was. If you have a subscription, cancel it before closing the account.

What is deleted

  • The account and its sign-in details
  • Every shot and clip you made
  • Saved products and their photos
  • Brand kits
  • Projects and your conversations with GESTEL
  • Any remaining credits (not refunded)
  • Your saved card

The card goes first. If the card registration cannot be removed, the whole deletion stops — an account that has vanished while a live card mandate survives is the worst possible outcome.

What stays

Only the payment record: when, how much, which plan.

Article 6 of the Enforcement Decree of the Korean E-Commerce Act requires payment and contract records to be kept for five years. Your name and email are severed from them, so the amounts and dates remain but the identity does not.

The fact that the account was closed — name, email, and when — is kept briefly and separately, so we can answer you if you get in touch. Nothing else is in it.

Cancelling is not closing

Do not close an account mid-subscription. Cancel, let the paid period end, then close. To cancel only, see What happens when I cancel?.

How to do it

At the bottom of Settings → Account. One confirmation dialog, which states everything you lose. We do not ask why or try to talk you out of it — confirm and it happens.

If you change your mind

A closed account cannot be restored. Signing up again with the same email gives you a new account: the old shots and credits do not return, and a closed account is not granted free credits again.

Download whatever you need first. Download all in the files drawer takes everything at once.

Frequently asked

Do I get a refund for unused credits when I close my account?
Closing the account itself does not refund anything. If you are eligible for a refund, ask for it before closing. The conditions are in What happens when I cancel?.
How long does it take?
It is immediate. You are signed out and the account is gone.
I pressed close while still subscribed.
The subscription is severed as part of it. A refund for the period you already paid is not automatic, so email us first if that applies to you.
I only want to delete my photos, not the account.
Select and delete shots on the canvas, and delete products individually on the product screen. The account stays.
