Making shots

Why don't the labels change?

GESTEL reads your product, pins down what it read, and only then shoots. The label text, the size, the colour and the material go to the model as facts to preserve, not as suggestions. So what changes is the background and the lighting — the scene, not the thing. That is the main difference from a general image generator: you need a shot you can sell, not a nice picture. When a shot does drift, select just that shot and say what is wrong.

How it holds

When you save a product, GESTEL reads the photos and records:

  • The product type and name
  • Size, dimensions, colour
  • Material and finish
  • The label text, exactly as printed

At shoot time those are not references, they are constraints: keep the shape, proportions, colours, materials, finish and every printed word exactly as photographed, and never invent, move or restyle any text. That instruction rides on every shot.

Paper in the photo is not a label

Text on a note card, a price tag or a hang tag beside the product is not the product's label, and GESTEL tells them apart.

  • Text printed on the product → reproduced verbatim.
  • Text on paper next to it → recorded as a fact, but never drawn into the shot.

Without that distinction, a note card follows the product into every styled scene. That used to happen, which is why it is handled.

When it does drift

It is not perfect. Drift is most likely when:

  • The label is blurry in the original — text that was never read cannot be kept.
  • The type is very small or dense, like an ingredients panel.
  • The product is steeply angled or turned — a face that is not in the original has to be invented.

Select the shot and say one thing:

  • “The label text is wrong. Match the original.”
  • “Redo it facing straight on.”

The selected shot attaches as a chip. You are editing that shot, not starting over.

Helping it hold better

  1. Upload a photo where the label is sharp. Text GESTEL could not read is text it cannot keep.
  2. Save the product. Saved, its facts persist, so every shoot works from the same ones.
  3. Correct anything it misread — especially the label text. Corrections survive re-reads. See How do I add and correct a product?.
  4. Include a front-on photo. More angles means less to invent.

Frequently asked

Can I upload my logo file directly?
Today it reads from photos. Add a photo where the logo is sharp and it will work from that.
The colour is slightly off.
Usually the lighting. “Keep the product colour exactly as the original, brighten the lighting only” holds the colour and moves the scene. A shadow across the product in the original is another common cause.
Are ingredient panels and back-of-pack text accurate?
Small dense type is hard. Where that panel matters, use the real photograph — for an ingredients list on a product page, the shot from your camera is the safe choice.
Can I bring in a shot made elsewhere and fix it here?
Yes. Upload it, select it, and say what to change. It is much more accurate if you save the product alongside it.
